Eugene McKinney, age 86, of White, died Wednesday, September 21, 2016, at the Hendricks, Minnesota, Hospital. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 23, 2016, at the United Methodist Church in White, with interment in Fairview Cemetery. Visitations will precede services, beginning at 9:00 a.m. Friday.

Eugene Francis McKinney was born April 24, 1930, at Estelline, South Dakota, to Charles C. and Olive (Bransrud) McKinney. He grew up near Estelline where he attended country school. He moved to White when he was 13. He began farming in 1946 with his mother and younger brother.

On November 13, 1976, Eugene married Norma Lambertus in White. They farmed east of White. Eugene was a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge in White.

Survivors include his wife, Norma, of White; a brother, James McKinney, of Brandon, South Dakota; a sister-in-law, Myrtle McKinney, of White; and nephews and great-nieces and great- nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Merlyn.
