Ellen Lovett, age 53, of Brookings, died Friday, September 25, 2015, at the United Living Community in Brookings. Funeral services will be 12:00 noon Wednesday, September 30, 2015, at Bible Baptist Church in Brookings, with interment in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitations will be from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at Eidsness Funeral Home. Ellen Marie (O'Neal) Lovett was born June 5, 1962, in the small town of Vega, Texas. She was the second of four children born to James and Marie (Pilkington) O'Neal. She married Jimmy Noble shortly after high school. They had three children, one who died at delivery. After being divorced, Ellen raised her children Sheila and Timothy. She remarried, but later separated. During her later years she was blessed with a son-in-law, James, and a daughter-in-law, Lynette. James and Sheila blessed her with four beautiful grandchildren: Mersadies, Brady, Meridath, and Robert. Tim and Lynette gave her grandpets, as she called them: Pippin, Sasha, Finriss, and Tabitha. She was adored and loved by many. Some would even call her mom and she had four kids who called her grandma as well. She was a firm believer in our Lord and Savior and would read from the Bible til she could no longer read or see the words. Survivors include her daughter, Sheila Cook, and son, Timothy Noble, both of Brookings; her mother, Marie O'Neal; a brother, Leslie O'Neal, of Amarillo, Texas; a sister Mary Lou Gillenwater, of Pampa, Texas; and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, James; brother, Allie; son, Jimmy; many aunts and uncles, grandparents, and a nephew, Kevin Silva. Though she is gone, she is greatly loved and missed, and forever in our hearts and thoughts.
