Eleanor Ann (Hill) Beaudette, age 69, of Menno, SD, died Thursday, February 16, 2017, at the Menno Olivet Care Center. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M., Saturday, February 25, 2017, at First Lutheran Church in Brookings with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Visitations will be Saturday morning, from 9:30, until the time of the service. Eidsness Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
Eleanor was born on June 11, 1947, in Brookings, SD, to Arley D. and Ruth A. Hill. She was baptized and confirmed at First Lutheran Church in Brookings. Eleanor received her elementary education in rural Brookings County, Grandview District #1. She graduated from Brookings High School in 1965, and continued her education at Lutheran Bible Institute in Minneapolis, MN. Eleanor also attended Moorhead Area Technical Institute in Moorhead, MN, graduating from there in 1969.
Eleanor was employed with Billy Graham Institute in Minneapolis, MN, and later with St. Luke's Hospital in Fargo, ND, and Sioux Valley Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD. She was united in marriage to Darwin P. Beaudette on August 7, 1971. To this union two sons were born; Darin P. and a son who died in infancy.
Eleanor will be remembered for her deep love of our Lord, her beautiful smile, and the inspiration she was to her family and to so many whose lives she touched.
Survivors include her son Darin P. Beaudette, Sioux Falls, SD; sister Joanne (Dale) Saxton, Roseville, MN; brother Marlin (Kathy) Hill, Brookings, SD; sister Elaine (James) Sellers, Pickstown, SD; sister Karen (Ronald) Paulson, Sulphur Springs, TX; brother-in-law O'Dean Olson, Rapid City, SD; sister-in-law Toni Hill, Fargo, ND; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her spouse; an infant son; sister Ardys R. Olson; brother Rodney A. Hill; nephew Allen D. Olson; and great nephews Thomas J. Hill, Matthew T. Hill, Logan R. Knight, and Landon Olson.
Eleanor's family wishes to extend sincere gratitude to the staff of Menno Olivet Care Center for the excellent and compassionate care you gave to our dear sister Eleanor.
