Elaine D. Wiese, age 90, died Saturday, May 9, 2015, at her home in Brookings. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 14, at Our Savior Ev. Lutheran Church in Brookings, with interment at Hendricks, Minnesota. Visitations will be from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at Eidsness Funeral Home in Brookings. Memorials may be directed to Great Plains Lutheran High School in Watertown. Elaine DeLyle (Lokken) Wiese was born July 1, 1924, at Madison, Minnesota, to Ingvald G. and Irma Irene (Schwanz) Lokken. She graduated from high school in Hendricks, Minnesota. She moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado, in 1955 and then returned to South Dakota in 1980 and worked as a nurse's aide at Sioux Valley Hospital in Sioux Falls. She later moved to White and Brookings where she enjoyed taking care of her parents. She was a member of Our Savior Ev. Lutheran Church in Brookings. Survivors include a son, David (Kadi) Wiese, of Colorado Springs, Colorado; five grandchildren: Steven, Carl, and Cody Linaman, Matthew Wiese, and Ginger Casciato; three great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a brother: Herbert (Wanda) Lokken of White, South Dakota. She was preceded in death by her parents; three daughters: Dianne, Carla Casciato, and Candi Linaman; a sister, Carol Zietlow; and two brothers, Russel and Ronald.
