Donna K. Draughn, age 47, died Friday, December 31, 2010, at her home in Brookings. Funeral services will be held at 6:30 P.M. Tuesday, January 4, 2011, at Peace Lutheran Church in Brookings.

Donna K. Draughn was born December 22, 1963, in Chicago, Illinois, to Donald and Marcella (Gronke) Clary Draughn. Donna moved to South Dakota from Tennessee with her family in 1977. She attended Special Education classes at Summit Public School until May 1985 when she graduated. She moved to Brookings in 1985 to receive services of ADVANCE in developing her vocational and living skills. She was employed at Brookings High School, Bonanza, and Marriot Food Services.

Survivors include her father, Donald Draughn of Tennessee; half-brother, Kenneth Sarnowski, of Kentucky; sisters: Cindy (Oscar) Lowe of Tennessee and Lisa (Brian) Remington of Apple Valley, Minnesota; and a step-brother Jan (Tammy) Clary, of Tea, South Dakota. She was preceded in death by her mother, Marcella; step-father, Harold Clary; sister, Hollie Hamnes; and half- brother, Lawrence Sarnowski.
