Doloris Wilma White died November 11, 2005 at Sioux Valley Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She was born to Corney and Elizabeth Tieszen on October 30, 1923 in Marion, South Dakota. She received her education in the Marion Public School, graduating in 1941. She attended the University of South Dakota for Pre-nursing and the Kahler School of Nursing in Rochester, Minnesota and South Dakota State University for Nursing Degrees. She worked as a nurse at hospitals in Portland, OR; Minneapolis, MN; Philadelphia, PA; and Sioux Falls, SD. She married Everett M. White on August 20, 1960. They made their home in Brookings, SD where they were members of the First Presbyterian Church. Doloris was an instructor in the College of Nursing at SDSU from 1960 until she retired in 1980. She is survived by her husband; and sisters; Ethel Tschetter of Lincoln, NE, Virginia Weeldreyer of Chancellor, SD, Sharon Lensgrav of Aberdeen, SD, and sister law, Katheryn Tieszen of Marion, SD. Doloris nieces, nephews, and many cousins and friends were also happy to have shared her life. A brother, Donald, and an infant son preceded her in death. A memorial service will be held 10:30 A.M. Tuesday, November 15, 2005, at First Presbyterian Church in Brookings, SD. There will be no visitations. Burial will be at Greenwoood Cemetery in Brookings, SD.
