Dollie C. (Massengale) Bass, age 90, a resident of Brookings for the past six years and formerly a resident of Baker, MT, passed away Tuesday, March 30, 2021, at Edgewood Vista Assisted/Memory Care in Brookings. Visitations will be on Friday, April 2, 2021, at Brookings First Assembly Of God from 5-7 P.M. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, April 3 ^rd also Brookings First Assembly Of God. Dollie C. Bass was born Nov. 2, 1930 in Cornish,CO, to James and Ellen(Favinger) Massengale. She married the love of her life, Leland Bass on April 4, 1948 in Fort Morgan, CO. Dollie loved staying home and tending to the family. Once the children were grown, she enjoyed traveling with her husband for his job. When they weren't traveling for Leland's job they were very busy traveling watching their grandchildren in sporting events.

Dollie and Lee moved to Brookings, SD, from Baker, MT, in 2015, to be close to family. Dollie was an active member of the Assembly of God Church.

Survivors include, daughter Donna Robinson; son Pastor Gerry (Cathy) Bass all of Brookings; four grandchildren, Pastor Greg (Sue) Robinson of Rapid City, SD, Angie (Don) Niehs of Lenexa, KS, Pastor Jeremy(Joan) Robinson of Brookings,SD, and Pastor Gerry L. (Sarah) Bass of Becker, MN; seven great-grandchildren; Desirae, Ashton, Hayley, Jace, Kailee, Madison, Faith; one sister-in-law, Eleanor of Salem,OR; two brother-in-laws, Del of Redmond,OR, and Bernie of Fort Worth,TX; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Dollie was preceded in death by her husband Lee, parents, and nine siblings.
