It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Deloris Kruse, who left us peacefully at age 84, on February 23rd, 2025. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Deloris Kruse was born to Cora and Ralph Williams of Allen, SD. She was the middle child of 13 children. Deloris dealt with sickness for the majority of her life.  She survived Polio in her teen years, being hospitalized for over a year.  Deloris graduated from Custer High School in 1958. She was an excellent horsewoman when growing up. Deloris got rewards in Gregg shorthand. She married LeRoy Ivan Weekly in 1958. Four children were born in this marriage: Cindy Ewing of Rapid City, SD, Lyle Weekly (Kay) of Parkston, SD, Tammy Jobgen (Wes) of Rapid City, SD, and Dale Weekly of Henry, SD. They worked and farmed a registered Dairy farm in Wilmot, SD. The farm and herd were dispersed after Leroy died in 1985.

Deloris attended Lake Area Tech for data entry. Upon obtaining this degree, she was employed by the State of South Dakota Department of Transportation Accident Records Division in Pierre, the SDSU admittance Office, the Codington County Sheriff's Office, and Prairie Lakes Hospital before retiring.

On July 22, 2000, she married Dave Kruse of Watertown, SD. This marriage brought four stepchildren into the marriage. Steve Kruse (Shannon) of Buffalo MN, Laurie Kruse, of Watertown SD Mark Kruse (Sarah) of Watertown, SD, and Daniel Kruse, Watertown, SD

Deloris faced challenges of Dementia and other health issues for several years. While these issues took place often, they could never take away the love, joy, and kindness she gave to all who really knew her. She is now at peace, free from suffering.

She is survived by brothers Douglas, and Paul and sisters Mary, 20 grandkids and 10 great-grandkids.

Deloris was preceded in death by parents Cora and Ralph William. Brothers, Johhny, Harold, Arnold, Patrick, and Floyd, sisters Lorraine, Laura, Margorie, and Patsy.   Donna Kruse mother-in-law

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm at First Baptist Church (1122, W 4th St.) with a Visitation from 1-2 PM in White SD on Friday, February 28, 2025. The Family asked that in place of flowers, donations be made to organizations or charities `for Alzheimer's associations in Deloris's memory.
