Debra "Debbie" Pederson, age 53, of Brookings, died Sunday, February 12, 2012, at the Brookings Hospital in Brookings, South Dakota. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, February 15, 2012, at Eidsness Funeral Chapel in Volga, followed by interment at First Lutheran Cemetery in Volga. Visitations will be from 5-7 P.M. Tuesday at the Eidsness Funeral Chapel in Volga. Debra "Debbie" Kay (Krumm) Pederson was born October 25, 1958, at Volga, South Dakota, to Stanley L. and Gloria (Heldt) Krumm. She grew up and went to school in Volga, and attended Sioux Valley High School. On February 9, 1996, she married Larry Pederson. Debbie worked at Medary Middle School in the lunchroom and as playground supervisor. She was a member of First Lutheran Church in Volga. Debbie enjoyed spending time with friends playing darts. Survivors include her mother, Gloria Krumm, of Volga, South Dakota; three daughters: Lisa (Jason) Barrett, of Sioux City, Iowa, Rachel Hodell, of Hutchinson, Minnesota, and Amie (Michael) Moberg, of Volga; a sister, Sheila (Rick) Ohlsen, of Brookings; four brothers: Ron Krumm, of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Jon (Nancy) Krumm, of Columbia, South Dakota, Rollie Krumm, of Volga, and Jerome (Tammie) Krumm, of Rapid City, South Dakota; three brothers-in-law and two sisters-in law: Ken (Nila) Pederson, of Brewster, Minnesota, Tom Pederson, of Sioux Falls, Wendi (Jim) Peterson of Volga, Deanna (Kevin) Wilson of Volga, and Eric (Karie) Benson of Volga: and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Pederson; her father, Stanley Krumm; and her maternal and paternal grandparents.
