Obituary
David L. Chapman, age 59, died Friday, June 11, 2010, at Palisade Manor in Garretson, South Dakota. Memorial services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 16, 2010, at Eidsness Funeral Chapel in Volga, with interment of cremated remains at First Lutheran Cemetery in Volga.
David LeRoy Chapman was born January 22, 1951, at Volga, South Dakota, to Lyle and Lauretta (Peterson) Chapman. He attended school at Arlington, and then worked as a heavy equipment operator and journeyman pipefitter. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping.
Survivors include his children: Jill Krogman of Brookings, Nichole Chapman of Brookings, and Matthew Chapman of Sioux Falls; his mother, Lauretta Chapman, of Brookings; four grandchildren; a brother, Danny Chapman of Brookings; and a sister, Jerilyn Canfield, of Chula Vista, California. He was preceded in death by his father.
