Dale K. Rauch, age 81, of Aurora, died Sunday, March 14, 2010, at the Southridge Healthcare in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M. Friday, March 19, 2010, at First United Methodist Church in Brookings, with interment in Trinity Cemetery at Volga. Visitations will be from 5-7 P.M. Thursday at Eidsness Funeral Home in Brookings.

Dale Kenneth Rauch was born September 23, 1928, near Iroquois, South Dakota, to Reinhold and Sylvia (Larson) Rauch. He lived with his family near Cavour and Lake Preston. He attended grade school at Cavour and graduated from high school in Lake Preston. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1950 until 1955. On June 5, 1964, he married Maxine Brelsford at Brookings. Dale worked in farming until his retirement. Maxine died July 30, 2005.

Dale enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting, and coffee parties.

Survivors include his daughter, Dawn Rauch, of Madrid, Iowa; a brother, Virgil Rauch of Yankton, South Dakota; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and siblings: R.D., Harley, Verda, and Grant.
