Christopher Lee Gunderson, age 37, of Watertown and formerly of Brookings, died Tuesday, November 22, 2016, at the Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls. Visitations will be 11 a.m.-1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 26, 2016, at Eidsness Funeral Home.
Chris was born May 20, 1979, to Kevin and Pam (Johnson) Gunderson in Lake Preston, SD. He grew up in Brookings, where he was baptized and confirmed at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church. Chris lived in Brookings and Sioux Falls, where he worked in construction. He was extremely talented in mechanical areas and enjoyed tinkering, construction, and rebuilding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle.
Throughout Chris' life, he was always known for his willingness to help out. He was always the first one to come forward if there was a need. Even in his death, Chris gave back by being a donor and saving the lives of others.
Chris enjoyed riding and working on his motorcycle. He will also be remember for his love of pets, working out at the gym, and his passion for drawing.
Survivors include his mother and step-father, Pam (Mike) Shuck of Shawnee, Kansas; father and step-mother, Kevin (Julie) Gunderson of Volga; siblings, Mike (Shelly) Gunderson of Aurora and Natalie and Andrew Gunderson of Volga; grandparents, Larry and Maxine Johnson of Aurora; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Edgar and Darlene Gunderson.
