Christina Marie Gonzales, age 51, of Brookings, SD, died on Tuesday, July 14, 2015, at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD, after a six month battle with leukemia with her family by her side. Funeral Services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 17, 2015, at Eidsness Funeral Home with interment in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitations will start at 11:00 until the time of the service. Christy was born in New Mexico on July 6, 1964, the daughter of Ray and Elva Gonzales. She enjoyed camping and playing computer games. Christy especially enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren. She also adored her dogs Bella and Blue. Christy is survived by her fiancé DeLane Moe; three daughters: Stephine (Mark) Burtz, Larissa (Kyle) Groenewold, Kacie (Cody Ossefoort) Bunker; mother, Elva Gonzales; her grandchildren: Kyleigh, Zayla, Teagan, Warren, Archer, baby boy Burtz on the way; brother, Ray, Jr. Gonzales; sister Linda Lilly; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Ray Gonzales.
