Chance Leeland Johnson, infant son of Katie (Auck) Johnson, of Volga, and Daryl Stofferan, of Madison, died Tuesday, May 10, 2005, at the Brookings Hospital. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday at First Lutheran Church in Volga, with interment in the church cemetery. Visitations will be from 6-8 P.M. Thursday at Eidsness Funeral Chapel in Volga. Chance was born March 17, 2005, at the Brookings Hospital in Brookings, South Dakota, to Katie (Auck) Johnson and Daryl Stofferan. Survivors include his mother and father; two brothers, James Johnson, age 9, and Trevan Davis, age 3; grandparents: Doug and Joan Tveito of Volga, Doug Auck of Volga, and Fred and Deb Stofferan of Sanborn, Iowa; great-grandparents: Raymond and Doris Gano of Apache Junction, Arizona, Norman Hanson of Brookings, and Alvin and Bev Carlson of Brookings; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
