Catherine S. Togstad, age 71, of Brookings, died Friday, January 28, 2005, at Brookview Manor in Brookings, South Dakota. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, February 2, 2005, at Eidsness Funeral Home, with interment in First Lutheran Cemetery. Visitations will be from 4-7 P.M. Tuesday at Eidsness Funeral Home. Catherine Signe (Shove) Togstad was born April 9, 1933, at Clough, South Dakota, to Edward M. and Amelia Catherine (Magnuson) Shove. On May 24, 1961, she married Marvin Togstad at Sturgis, South Dakota. He died December 30, 1978. Survivors include three sisters: Judy (Ted) Rapp of Rapid City, South Dakota, Jenny Mitchell of Mandan, North Dakota, and Petronella Barker of Lincoln, Nebraska; and a step-brother, James (Bernita) Cullen, of St. Paul, Minnesota. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sisters, Agnes and Alice; and three brothers: Robert, Albert, and Herbert.
