Carol Lynne Malone passed away in Sioux Falls, SD on October 21, 2026. A memorial service will take place at 6:00pm on November 4, 2026 at Eidsness Funeral Home in Brookings, SD. A visitation will take place prior from 5-6pm.

Carol was born in Camden, New Jersey, the oldest of two children. Growing up, she enjoyed reading books, playing with dolls, and teasing her younger brother. She was a good student and went on to graduate from Camden Catholic High School.

In 1996, Carol and her family of five moved to South Dakota, where they built a home and raised her three children. Carol worked for the Division of Rehabilitation Sevices for the State of South Dakota where she enjoyed her work and the friendships she developed with her co-workers.

Throughout her life, Carol found joy in the simple things. She enjoyed sewing, reading, and searching for a good bargain. Whether spending time with family, enjoying a good book, or finding a great deal, Carol appreciated the little things that brought happiness to her everyday life.

Carol is survived by her daughter, Shannon Joy Crosby; her mother, Judith M. Malone; her brother, Alfred M. Malone; her uncle, Edward (Pamela) Kordeck; her aunt, Jane Carol (Sam) Wilson; her uncle Phillip Tumminia; her great-aunt, Lorraine Wiatr; her beloved dog, Mister; and numerous cousins and friends. The family would like to extend a special thank-you to Jeanette Malone, Charla Harford, and Heather Harris.

She was preceded in death by her two sons, Jesse Crosby and Matthew Crosby; her father, Alfred M. Malone Sr; and her aunt Catherine Tumminia
