Carol Jensen, age 57, of Brookings, passed away on Monday, May 8, 2017 at her ADVANCE home under hospice care.  Memorial services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Friday, May 10, 2017 at Eidsness Funeral Home in Brookings.  Interment will follow at 3:30 P.M. at the Romsdahl Cemetery in rural Beresford, South Dakota. Eidsness Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Carol Ann Jensen was born on January 3, 1960 to Hugh and Marjorie (Thompson) Jensen in Hawarden, Iowa.  In 1996 Carol moved to Brookings and was welcomed and loved by her ADVANCE family.

Carol loved music, especially country music.  She was known for being sweet, loving, and kind hearted, and greatly enjoyed spending time with all of her friends at ADVANCE.  Carol also enjoyed spending time outside, and loved attending the Stars horseback riding program.

Survivors include her sister, Kathy (Pat) O'Hara; brother Doug (Mary) Jensen; step-brother Allen Skogman; step-sister Paula Waterman; 13 nieces and nephews, and 7 great-nieces and nephews.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, and her step-mother, Velma Jensen; and a niece, Mandi Jo Farley.
