Brenda Jean Eighmy, age 62, passed away on Friday, June 27, 2025, at her residence in Bushnell, SD, surrounded by her family. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Brenda Jean Eighmy was born on January 17, 1963 in Deadwood, SD, the daughter of James and Norma (Gaskin) Voss. She was the younger of five children and grew up in Grizzly Gulch (Black Hills). She attended and graduated from Lead High School, class of 1981.

Brenda's working career started as a stay-at-home mom. Once moving to the eastern side of South Dakota, she became a Certified Nursing Assistant before taking over a cleaning business. She loved every minute at home she got to spend with her kids; Daescha, Casey and Kendra. Brenda was united in marriage to Kristoffer Eighmy on August 17, 2013.

As her kids grew up, she got to enjoy spending time with her 6 grandchildren. Family and Brenda's dogs were very important to her. Brenda enjoyed gardening, boating, camping and celebrating the 4th of July with fireworks at home with her family.

Brenda is survived by her husband, Kristoffer Eighmy; daughter, Daescha (Cody) Johnson, Son, Casey Raatz, daughter, Kendra (Chris) Pearson and six grandkids.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Norma (Gaskin) Voss, nephew, Lynn Stuen and many beloved pets.
