Betty Eriksrud, age 92, of Sioux Falls, passed away on Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at the United Living Community in Brookings.  Memorial services will be 10:00 A.M. on Monday, November 14, 2022, at Eidsness Funeral Home in Brookings with burial in West Sinai Lutheran Cemetery at Sinai, SD.  Visitation will be from 2-4 P.M. on Sunday at Eidsness Funeral Home.

Betty was born on April 1, 1930, to Herman and Lena (Evenson) Moe on the family farm in rural Arlington, SD.  She grew up on the farm and attended country school through the 8 ^th grade.

Betty married Gordon Eriksrud on March 23, 1949, in Brookings, SD.  Together, they raised five children: Kathryn, Gary, Gloria, Debrah, and James.  Betty's faith was very important to her and was evident in how she lived her life.  She enjoyed cooking, baking and playing games and cards.  She will be remembered for her homemade treasures of caramel rolls and ice cream.

Survivors include her children; Kathyrn (Bill) Chermak of Woodbury, MN, Gloria (Steve) Nielson of Volga, SD, Debrah (Tony) Reiter of Sioux Falls, SD, and James (Sherri) Eriksrud of Chaska, MN; seven grandchildren, Chad, Casey, Jennifer, Lee, Luke, Maxell, and Bennett; step-grandchildren: Heather and Matthew; great-grandchildren: Cade, Briggs, Melia, Owen, Bodhi, and Elcie; and step-great-grandchildren: Mercedes and Kyle;  brother, Floyd (Doris) Moe; and sisters-in-law, Judy Moe, Arlene (Eriksrud) Tillison, and Doris (Eriksrud) Haugen and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Gary; and siblings; Pearl, Leon, Alvin, Myrtle, Gilbert, Ray, Olga, Glenn and Neil.
