Obituary
Arlene Dianne Mickelson, age 53, of Brookings, died Saturday, August 14, 2010, at Avera-McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls. Funeral mass will be held 10:30 A.M. Tuesday, August 17, 2010, at St. Pauls Catholic Church in White, with interment in Fairview Cemetery.
Arlene was born July 7, 1957, at Brookings, to Floyd and Helen (Davis) Mickelson. She was the youngest of seven children. Born with a developmental disability, Arlene lived at home with her family. Her father died in 1971 and her mother in 1998, after which time Arlene became a resident of ADVANCE.
Survivors include her six siblings: Louis (Doris) Mickelson of Sioux Falls, David (Lou) Mickelson of Vernal, Utah, Joanne (Dennis) Nordstrom of Shoreham, New York, Julia (Terry) Hutchison of Garretson, South Dakota, Patricia (Joe) Drach-Mickelson of Reddick, Florida, and Cynthia (Alan) Wagner of Makanda, Illinois; numerous nieces and nephews; and her special family at ADVANCE.
