Anna Marie Joy, born as Linda Jane Harris, 79, of Brookings, went to her eternal home on Monday, February 17, 2025. Anna was born on November 19, 1945, in Detroit, Michigan to Marion Harris and Elizabeth (Swope). The beginning years of Anna's life were challenging, and very little is known about that time by her Brookings area friends. In 1980, Anna chose to legally change her name to Anna Marie Joy. Although Anna had many struggles in life, she made the best of every situation. Anna was very kind; she was always willing to help others in need. She loved clouds, sunsets, sunrises and taking photos.

Anna was a member of the River of Life Christian Fellowship in Madison, SD, and former member of Brookings Assembly of God.

Survivors include her guardian, Rosalie Styf, and numerous friends from Brookings.

Funeral services will be 10:30 AM on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at Eidsness Funeral Home in Brookings with burial in Fairview Cemetery in White, SD.  Her visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
