Alice M. Quam, age 98, of Sinai, died Monday, November 7, 2005, at Brookview Manor in Brookings, South Dakota. Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M. Friday, November 11, 2005, at the Sinai Lutheran Church in Sinai, South Dakota, with interment in the East Sinai Lutheran Cemetery. Visitations will be from 4-7 P.M. Thursday at Eidsness Funeral Home in Brookings. Alice Marie Quam was born April 18, 1907, on the family farm near Sinai, to Jacob and Julia (Felberg) Quam. She was a life-long member of the Sinai Lutheran Church, and was active in Ladies Aid and Mission Club. She moved into Sinai in 1990 following the death of her brother Merle. She especially enjoyed coffee-time with her friends at the Sinai Caf. Survivors include one brother-in-law Algot Holmstrom, and wife Sue of Clark, South Dakota and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and five sisters.
